What "interesting" music do you my lurkers and few readers like? What kinda of music that you normally listen to by yourself. If possible can you give me a link to free streamer, something to sample. Please do not post top 40, very little music if any that had meaning was on top 40. What I mean is... here is an example:
Greg said "Hey have you heard of the jo-jo beans?"
several people said "what?"
That kinda of interesting and after hearing that... they state "what the hell was that?"
I love it when people respond to my musical tastes as such, for some reason it still gives me a feeling of being different and even as an adult, I think I need that. Who doesn't?

I don't think my music taste is quite as ecclectic as yours...
My favorite right now is Lucinda Williams. I have no idea if she's top 40, but she has some quality lyrics if you can handle some countrified tunes!
I am glad you got to see the video, because it was pulled off of youtube due to a violation.

Sucks that I can't view th video, but hey, I am sure I have heard it before, just don't remember. That is what happens when you get old and your children take all your brain juice. Any way, I listen to all kinds, Rock, blues, POP, maybe a dash of country in there. One of my fav artists is Stevie Ray Vaughn (I swear I posted that somewhere, but for the life of me can't remember)--see what I mean.
"Countrified"...I definitely made that up. Yep.
I also wanted to say Tom seems to be quite timeless. Which I think is cool.
I thought of another band to check out: Broken Social Scene. I saw them last fall and they are amazing! Not countrified in the slightest though.

Pam - I wish I could get them to work. He was 29 in the interview... he chain smokes through the whole thing and looks drunk, but when it comes to playing his music... he did such an amazing job.
athomemom- I certainly agree with you, I listen to everything. I can no longer even house the limitless amounts of music I like or hate. I never hate a song based on it genre, just if that "song" sucks or not. I used to hate pure top 40, then a female friend said to me "it is just something easier to dance to" then I realized, her music made her want to dance... that was its signature, its movement. So I stopped hating top 40/flavor of the month, I just rarely listen to it. I like anything that surprises me.
Kitten - when you read my blog, you probably know that I invent new rules for sentence construction, spelling, grammar, made up words, and a complete lack of content. So I think I can let you slide making up one word... I will charge .3565 of a cent. We can just keep a running tally, when I am 103 I will collect the bill w/no interest added because I am such a nice guy.
